URGENT ALERT – NADA Changes September Valuations

by | Sep 10, 2020 | Used Car, Vehicle Pricing | 0 comments

NADA delivered a quick change to September NADA book values due to Hurricane Laura.

Dealerslink is using the most current NADA book values updated on August 28th for September 2020 monthly values. Dealerslink was nimble enough to incorporate these updates immediately.

Dealerslink NADA values were audited and certified by NADA for accuracy.

BEWARE!  There are many vendors who are serving the wrong September NADA values.

They did not follow the appropriate instructions from NADA. This is causing confusion among banks, auctions and private parties.

If discrepancies exist with non-Dealerslink systems, instruct your vendor to undergo an NADA value audit to ensure accuracy.

You can direct them to this resource https://b2b.nada.com/.

More from J. D. Power:

J.D. Power Valuation Services will be publishing updated September Used Car and Commercial Truck Guide values, which were originally delivered on 20th August, 2020. The new September values will be delivered on or before August 31st.

Hurricane Laura made landfall in the Gulf Coast as a Category IV storm causing significant damage to a large number of used vehicles. Historically, used vehicle prices rise immediately following storms of this magnitude due to replacement demand from damaged units. For example, used vehicle wholesale prices jumped 2% in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in 2017.” – J.D. Power
